McDonald's PCN with MET Parking Services

Options
Hi, I've used this forum a few times before but never had a PCN so I apologise if I am posting this in the wrong place.

I have read a lot of forums regarding parking charges and believe I am following the correct process but would just like some clarification.

I am currently a volunteer and meet with clients in McDonald's for our first meeting over lunch. This particular meeting was on 14th May and was at McDonald's for 115 minutes where the parking only allows 90 minutes. I did not see the signs and have previously parked in the same car park for this length of time.

I received the NtK on 23rd May from MET Parking Services, I have checked the details and confirmed all of their points under POFA 2012. I have also spoken to the manager at McDonald's with no luck.

I have copied the letter from the newbies forum and changed the appropriate details. I would like to know if anyone can clarify whether I need to mention the receipt from McDonald's on the day in question as this is not in the template.

Do I need to do anything else before sending the letter? Many Thanks in advance for your help.

mention that an occupant of the car has the receipt from the retailer and enclose a copy or scan of the receipt with your appeal (but keep the original)

so add it as an extra point, but no implying who the driver was or is

    so no

"I spent this amount in the shop and I bought a cheeseburger and here is MY receipt)

so none of that I or ME business

If you have the receipt and use McDonalds regularly (or even if you don't), then also pop in there and speak to the manager and see if he/she can get it cancelled.

Thanks for your quick response, how does this sound:

'Enclosed is a copy of the receipt received by an occupant of the vehicle from McDonald’s.'

Thanks for your response, I have been back to McDonald's to check the signs and I spoke to the manager, he said it's out of his control and the car park is managed by MET Parking Services.

He's lying or lazy. How does he explain the 5 MET/McDonalds cases I have collated here then?

Post #2, look for the MET cases. All cancelled by McDonalds local Managers with one phone call to MET.

I have taken Met to POPLA and won. So have lots of others.

It's very easy .... Chances are that they will not even bother putting their case across.

Best bit about taking it to POPLA is that it costs Met money! And that gives me a nice warm glow inside.

Just to let you know that I received a reply today from MET and they are cancelling the charge and have even apologised, couldn't believe it.

Thank you for all the help.

    Congratulations ...

Maybe they are starting to see the light, but I doubt it!

I pulled into a car park (for medical reasons) and was physically incapable of driving for a couple of hours (genuinely). I have consequently received a £100 ticket from MET - what would you suggest?
