Feeding an electric shower with a hot wàter pipe?

Just wondering...if my electric shower would be more efficient if it were fed from a hot water pipe from my combi boiler?
Would it have a greater water flow as it wouldn't have to work as hard to heat the water?

You would find that it kept cutting out because of the high temperature limit.
And it would invalidate any warranty.
Plus you'd also be using twice the energy
If you want to make use of 'combi hot' - then install a mixer shower

Ruski is correct.
If you have a combi you don't need an electric shower. Just a mixer valve to work directly off the combi.Eat vegetables and fear no creditors, rather than eat duck and hide.0 -
An electric shower must be fed from the rising main only. But why use an electric shower at 3 times the cost if you have a combi boiler? No free lunch, and no free laptop

What you need to do...
If you have a Combi that is
1) Remove electric shower
2) get hot and cold feed to where you need it to.....
3) install a thermostatic mixer Shower
4) Enjoy a far better shower than you will currently be getting!

Why would you want to feed it from the hot, how are you ever going to get cold water out of the shower???0
