One step at a time.
1. Appeal to the PPC first.
2. Get ticket cancelled or POPLA code.
3. Then appeal to POPLA.
Don't do 1 or 3 without letting use see appeals first.
Oh - and what was date of ticket/NtK from Parking Eye?0 -
Ive already appealed to Parking Eye, which was rejected, and I threw away the first letter from Parking Eye because I was told, by a friend, to ignore it. My friend was obviously wrong and I should have read here before appealing to Parking Eye. Im now needing to appeal my case to POPLA but even after reading the newbie thread Im confused which template to use and manipulate for my circumstance and for the time as day. My Parking Notice came to me via post and I was parking at 8.30pm till approx. 11.20pm when the shops in the retail park were closed. Please help with letter wording if you can as Ive not a clue!!!0

ok, so you threw away the letter from PE rejecting your appeal , there should have been a popla code on it (10 digits)
do you have this code ?
if you do , check it using the parking cowboys checker as its only valid for 28 days
if you have no popla verification code, you cannot appeal to popla - period
if its past the 28 day deadline , its expired so again you cannot appeal to popla
all the above is crucial to an appeal
you need a valid and in date current popla code to appeal to popla
no -code = no appeal
expired code = no appeal
post #3 of the newbies thread has links in BLUE to popla appeals so no idea how you managed to miss it , its a whole section on popla and appeals in there0 -
Yes Ive got the POPLA verification code which is valid till the 16th June. Ive read through a few of other motorists appeal letters but they've all mentioned signage being inappropriate which does not apply to me. My parking was late at night but parking times are not listed but signs do say 2 hrs parking only for the shops on the retail park. I can mention in my appeal about loss of earnings but do I ask PE for a copy of their landowner contract before mentioning it in a appeal letter? Any more points that I can add in the appeal letter?
Sorry if I read so stupid.0 -
Don't apologise for anything. If you just use the template ParkingEye appeal from the Newbies thread it can be easily edited.
In terms of signage, I would say to throw it in anyway, at the least it will make ParkingEye actually prove their signage is compliant. At this stage, you are no longer actually communicating with ParkingEye, but with POPLA, therefore it is up to you to make allegations regarding the legality of the PCN and for them to rebut the assertion by providing evidence.0
