Help with Rug Doctor and damp please !!

Hi, advice on this would be great. I just moved into an unfurnished property 2 weeks ago. Decided to clean the carpets with a rug doctor. Thought I had dryed but....have been smelling a musty smell last few days. I pulled back carpet yesterday, no sign of mold or wetness on underlay or carpet but my damp detector says it's all damp. I spent yesterday trying to dry out underlay and have carpet rolled up in garage at the moment. \still trying to get underlay dry then hoping to bring carpet back in to start on that. But I'm worried as it has been damp for 14 days and not sure if it will recover but more important will it affect my kids health. As said no signs of mold or anything but still concerned. What do you think?
