Consumer Rights Help Wedding Dress

Hello! I'm hoping someone can help me.
I know my consumer rights, at least I thought I did. My wedding dress is faulty, the boning in the corset is bent, all the staff have agreed. I spent most of my wedding day trying to keep decent with little avail. I have made a complaint with the shop, the staff were all sympathetic but the manager is saying I lost weight in the 5 days between collecting it and my wedding day. My measurements prove this is rubbish. She has gone to her lawyer and the lawyer is refusing to even discuss it. What can I do?
Thank you in advance!

Hello,
I just found you post. Did you get anywhere at all with the shop? I had a similar experience with bad alterations to my gown and then they made a hole in my veil and sent it to me anyway. When I complained they denied it all then threatened with lawyers to sue me!!!
I am refusing to let it go - they were so bad and made so many errors and shoddy service. I will take them to court if I have to.
You weren't at The Mews Of Notting Hill were you?0
