    Yes, stainless polishes up to a mirror. Just takes time which is why it isn't usually done. Having said that I still find it amazing someone would go to the trouble of chrome plating stainless.

    Rust usually occurs when there is water in high proximity, which is very true in the case of a bathroom. Try cleaning the rust after giving your bathroom a through clean. Depending upon which type of tile you use, there are different methods. However stainless steel shower caddy would be a good option. I bought my shower caddy from better living. They have a lot of options and designs.:)
