Just read on hotdeals that the tins of shake slimfast are half price £2.95 in Wilkinson's.
  • Oh thats not bad.

I am still getting 3 for £3.10 right now so I am happy with that.

Managing to save up my points on my SD card aswell so that might mean a free perfume or something later in the year.

I am on day 3. Had a sneaky peak on the scales this morning & I am down 1lb.

77lbs to go - in it for the long haul.

Dolly Can I ask is this part of a 5.2 diet for you? I can see how it works short term for a quick fix for a special occasion but with the shakes having such a low cal count I can't see how it would be sustainable weight loss once solid food is reintroduced.

As a moneysaving tip, instead of Slimfast why don't you make yourself an iced latte with skimmed milk and sweetener (if you like it sweet, that is) instead of a meal? I'm not a fan of sweeteners personally, but the odd one here and there won't hurt you.

Because Slimfast contains other minerals and vitamins that are needed and won't be available in an iced latte - the whole point of meal replacement diets is that they give you a balanced amount of vitamins and minerals, so your body doesn't crave them in other foods or get sick without them.

I remember doing slim fast years ago, I really didn't like that the pre made drinks came in tins, so it's good they've changed that.

I did get bored of it quickly and I couldn't keep it up for more than a few weeks.

If you're in it for the long haul my advice is start off with slim fast and perhaps introduce more 'real' food further along down the line. As the name suggests it's slim fast, not the long haul. I just think that anyone will get bored after months of slim fast! You can maybe replace one meal a day for 4 days a week and replace 2 meals the other 3. Mix it up and you might not get so bored of it as quickly.

    Good luck

Asda are doing Slimfast ready made bottles for £1 each at the minute.... I take it during the week when working as I would tend to "snack" throughout the day :(...... started doing it last week for 4 days 2 of the drinks per day one for breakfast one for lunch then sensible ish dinner in the evening. I do get bored quickly and unless I see results really fast I loose interest.

    This! This x 100!!

I stopped doing anything like this because it inevitably leads to yo-yo dieting once actual food is reintroduced.
