Hello everyone,
I am feeling in a very reflective mood. After a deep conservation with my mum about events that happened in my teenage years. The death of my dad at the age of 14 had a very profound effect on myself. It made me mature very quickly. I felt I had to protect my 9 year old brother from all the carp in the world. From that period in my life I only have bad memories. Even now I feel traumatised by the events that unravelled from my dad's death. I won't go into detail but both my mum and myself were seriously ill, at many points I felt that it was fate that my mum was going to die as well. One particular memory that has scarred me was one day my mum coming out of hospital and I was admitted into hospital on the same day. I believe these experiences have pretty much shaped who I am today. Additionally, I am thankful to have had a father who instilled in me that if you ever want to achieve anything you have to work hard, live frugally and spend wisely.
Having these reflective memories has made me even more determined to pursue my teaching career, strive for financial freedom and inspire my children to realise anything is possible, just as my dad. I often wonder whether my dad would be proud of me.
In order to achieve my financial freedom, I have too put every penny into savings.
* I have been asked to do two additional hours a week on Saturday, I gratefully accepted.
* Cashed in £110 worth of vouchers from various survey sites.
All going towards Xmas
* DH did the weekly shop and spent £50 between Mr S and Mr T. In Mr S he used a £3 off £20 shop, £2 brand match coupon, staff discount and bought offers and basics range only. The £50 included milk formula £8.49, batteries £7.00 and £10 on meat. I estimate a further £10 to be spent on essentials during rest of week.
Sorry for the long post.

Hello purple,
Thankyou for your well wishes. I am sorry for your loss. I believe these circumstances are sent to try us and it's up to us to determine whether it makes or breaks us.
