The winner and a guest will stay for seven nights, on a full-board basis, at the Arctic Star hotel, in Karesuando, a village on the border between Sweden and Finland, 160 miles north of the Arctic Circle. It offers a range of winter activities that make viewing the aurora borealis even more magical — and give visitors a taste of life in one of Europe’s last great wildernesses. The prize includes a dog-sledding expedition, a visit to a reindeer camp and a snowmobile safari through the Arctic forest.
The prize includes flights from a range of UK airports, as well as use of a thermal suit and boots. It must be taken in January, February or March 2015, excluding public holidays and subject to availability.
