Jackie O I HATE ironing, so much so that I no longer have an ironing board nothing gets ironed here apart from the table cloth at Christmas, I also love hanging washing out but hate getting it in and hate peeling spuds ! I love cleaning (and having a clean house) and love any kind of baking / cooking.

Redruby, I think we may have been separated at birth, I completely agree with you. My dd thinks I'm crackers and spends a good couple of hrs ironing on Sundays!! My mum irons everything, tea towels, bedding, life's too blooming short.

    Morning all

Redruby I am another who avoids ironing, fold and smooth over is good enough for me unless it is for something special as Julie says life is too short.......

Weather can't make up its mind what it is going to do so I have not done any washing.

DD is at work and DH and DS have gone to an archery open day, so a peaceful Sunday for me ;)
I have been pottering in the greenhouse all morning and have got all the seedlings re-potted.
Going to have a word with one of our neighbours whose ruddy cat thinks that our raised bed is a litter box :mad:
I have put cayenne pepper down and it hasn't stopped the little burger, does anyone know how to deter cats?

Tickets came yesterday for the annual Whipsnade "Big Night Out" it is from 6pm to 10pm on 21st June (Summer Solstice) with lots of entertainment, bbq and hog roast, I am really looking forward to it and it was only £11.75 each for tickets :D

We are going to get a yearly membership because it works out really cheap if you go regularly and as it is on our doorstep so to speak we will be going every week :D

Molly I am glad things are looking a bit more positive ((((Hugs)))) xx

Off back to the garden so BFN x
Blessed are the cracked for they are the ones that let in the light

    Morning all,

Glad all is well with you Molly and family life seems to be progressing as it should. Good that you were able to have an early night too.

We didn't have a good day yesterday. Not only did we get caught up in a traffic jam in our nearest shopping centre Lucy dog had another tumble down the stairs. Hubby got angry and stressed which amounted to a lot of shouting and swearing as well as banning the dogs from going upstairs. I told him they had always been allowed upstairs (after they were toilet trained anyway) and he wasn't being fair on them so we compromised and went out and bought two baby safety gates for the top and bottom of the stairs. They can come and go as they please but only under supervision. I'm pretty peeved that we've had to fit the safety gates to be honest as its going to be even more awkward for me to vacuum the stairs now but I do realize, the dogs safety (and my Grandson when I have him in September) must come first. The vet gave her a good medical as well which I'm pleased about and all is well.

Hubby is fitting the safety gates as I type.

This afternoon, we have to face the demon shopping centre this afternoon again. Hubby has got an appointment at the opticians, needs to get his fags and I need to pop into Debenhams as ive run out of my Clinique clarifying lotion. I was going to get my stuff yesterday when I went to Mothercare to get a few bits for my Grandson but because of the traffic we only got as far as Mothercare.

So, all in all, not a good 24 hours, an expense for hubby at the emergency vet but a necessary one because we love our dogs. By the way, no bones broken, just a nasty sprain and a suggestion that she could do with losing 2kg. Apparently the dental strips ive been giving them after their dinner are loaded with fat so they will be the first things to go.

This is Lucy at the vets last night. Good as gold she was and I'm so glad she didn't need surgery.

Rain overnight but I woke to find the field in front of the house full of sheep. Must have been brought in very early as I was awake at 6.00a.m. and they weren't there. So now I can see, in once glance, a field of sheep, a field of cows and the sea. Somehow it all calms me down.

    Happy Sunday Morning :)
The weather is as yesterday here (wet & a little grey) although it has stopped raining for the moment.
Molly - I am glad to hear things are still on the up, slowly but surely :D! I think like mrslurcherwalker said maybe your mum isn't a fan of change, but all being well she will start to adapt and perk up. We got a similar way with my Grandad not long ago (different health thing ect) and my dad & mum were going once/twice a day and dad especially was going every day and worrying - as his mum passed away 10 years ago, and they ended up getting home help in 3 times a day. Getting him up, helping him wash, getting his lunch ready and washing him again later and either putting him to bed or getting him ready depending on how tired he was and although he had grump on at first he agreed and now he admitted to me the other day he does quite like them going and he looks so much better and so does my dad (&mum too). Takes them time when they are older, sometimes I think it's the independence thing too!

OH has a few bits left to do in the garage so I am just finishing some tidying and cleaning I didn't get round to yesterday. I'm not an ironing fan but I did do mine yesterday and don't think I could cope without one (maybe that will come in time :rotfl: )
We are off in to town tonight for "super sunday" although we only usually stop out til around 12!
Big breakfast for lunch and then chicken burgers and salad for tea, will be doing a roast tomorrow :)

gers - beautiful view, you can't beat living in the countryside!!
    Have a good day.
Christmas is the most magical time of the year :santa2:

    Evening everyone.

Sorry not had a chance to post much again. Been out to a christening today, I was designated driver. Quite glad as travelling by train tomorrow to see my dd & dgs for the next 6 days. Not sure About travelling on a bank holiday from euston but I think there is usually a coach that doesn't have reserved seating as I was unable to book seats.
Thanks for asking redruby. Dgs is still on neonatal & being fed by a tube, they won't let him out until he is feeding on demand. He has been given a dummy to help him learn to suck. Not sure when he's going to be home.

No os again today. Hugs to anyone that needs/wants one. Take care
