How to find a cheap weekend away as a single person?

I can get away from the 6th- 8/9th June, have a passport and can get too Manchester or Humberside Airport and the docks in Hull.
I have £200 and just need a break, Any suggestions gratefully received my head is a shed and I seem to be struggling to find a holiday for a single person. I'm happy to stay in a youth Hostel.
I realise my budget is quite limited I'm not expecting to get somewhere exclusive. An unusual destination is fine. I'd like to get a little sunshine but I'm not one for laying on a beach all day, although that would probably do me some good!
There is so many places I want to go but I can't pick one place out or think I could afford it on my own.

check skyscanner for flights - ie from manchester for your dates you have Dublin for £51 return, and Reus in Spain (for Barcelona, or the Costa Dorada) for £84 return.
Then have a look at travelrepublic, expedia, alpharooms, hotels.com, trivago etc, for a room for your 2 nights.0 -
Try https://www.airbnb.co.uk for cheap accommodation, either sole use of a private house or a room in a house. Barcelona would be great - there is a beach but also lots to see in the city. There are nice rooms from £25 a night and sole use of places at less than £50 :T. Bus in from airport and you're sorted
. A positive attitude may not solve all your problems, but it will annoy enough people to make it worth the effort

I got all inclusive in Majorca through travel republic the previous week for 30 pounds a night. There's no single supplement on travel republic either.
Hope you enjoy.0 -
Skyscanner works well because you can leave the destination as everywhere to find cheap flights - there's Brussels for £48 return, Dublin for £32 return and lots of time options to Palma in Majorca. Hostelworld is great for getting cheap hostels and booking.com has an option to choose single use inc hostels in their search. I spent a weekend in Barcelona solo and it was great - plenty to see but the beach is a metro ride away. If you went to Brussels you could get the train to Bruges it's 20e return and takes just over an hour from Charleroi - I stayed in the Ibis there and it was a 5/10min walk from main square. Dublin is quite expensive eating out but there's a lot of free museums/sights although the weather might not be as warm!
You can afford it on your own easily - I would expect to be paying about £10-20 for a hostel depending on where you go and whether you share a dorm (don't forget earplugs!) I've had a lot of solo long weekends away for less than this including spending money because if breakfast isn't included I go to the supermarket and grab some rolls and cheese/ham slices, soft drinks and bottles of water for throughout the day and then make a picnic lunch or grab a sandwich for lunch for less than 5e. Dinner solo I bring a book and usually get a main course and a beer for 10/12e and budget about 15e a day for activities although I mostly visit free places."I cannot make my days longer so I strive to make them better."
