Getting really confused ...
Received a letter from LCP in the post saying the driver was in breach of terms and conditions of parking. Won't give too many details but only there for a matter of minutes.
Should the driver pay or is this a " chancer fine"?
Really don't want the driver to get into trouble and getting conflicting advice!

Yep. BPA AOS member, so work through the NEWBIES sticky at the top of the forum index; get back if you find something you don't understand. Please note, we are not a legal advice forum. I personally don't get involved in critiquing court case Defences/Witness Statements, so unable to help on that front. Please don't ask. .
I provide only my personal opinion, it is not a legal opinion, it is simply a personal one. I am not a lawyer.

Thank you.
So, if I copy and paste the template letter , will they take any notice ? Will it work for this sort of "fine"?0 -
It's the standard template recommended for all private charges. Will it work? Rarely anything works at initial appeal, but it does signal you are a bit more knowledgeable than the average motorist who falls foul of them.
The main objective from this appeal (if it doesn't elicit a cancellation) is to drag a POPLA verification code from them - then you and we are in business, because once you've got that, and you strictly follow forum advice, you're well on the way to getting rid of the charge. Please note, we are not a legal advice forum. I have received a reply from LCP parking and of course they have declined my appeal. They also mention copying a template letter from the internet and quote a case where the appeal failed at court.
No popla reference number however. Can someone advise me what is the next step please?0 -
complain to the BPA attaching all paperwork and saying no popla code was issued despite you appealing
see the newbies thread for details0 -
It makes no difference if is copied from the net, all their letters are templates, so laughable they are complaining about this. The fact is they are in breach of the bpa Code of Practice and their dvla kadoe contract, make complaints now, they cannot decide what an appeal is.
