hi, last year we were in a lot of debt with 4 credit cards and a personal bank account overdraft, it was getting to the point where we were on the verge of losing our home. lucky for us my husband recieved an ammount of money left to him in a relatives will which we used to pay off most of our debts and get ourselves back on track, my question is that because at the time we neqotiated settlement payments with the credit card companies and the bank (in one case we had a credit card with £5000 on it and negotiated a settlement of £3750 which we paid) i want to know if i claim back the charges that were accrued on this card (app£800) while we were struggling are they going to want to claw that difference back, are they legally entitled to do that? would app any comments from anyone who has been in a similar situation, thanks..

Apologies if this comes across as stupid!
BUT if you owed £5,000 (with £800 charges) but only paid back £3,750 then haven't you effectively had the £800 back anyway?0
