'No more claims' clause in offer

Finally I got a full offer + interest from HSBC. Yee haa.
The offer contained two clauses:
- The 'confidentiality clause' - which I crossed out
- A clause stating 'I agree not to make any further claims, during this period, for charges relating to this [bank] account'
Is this last clause also something which the bank are in no position to ask for? - I think it should be crossed out too? Why would they ask for this - seems a bit strange/cheeky.
Thanks
Pete

Good move.- A clause stating 'I agree not to make any further claims, during this period, for charges relating to this [bank] account'
This is generally a disguised message. Firstly, if you know you've claimed in full everything for the specified period, it shouldn't be a problem.
If they're saying you won't ever claim against this account, it's a subtle way of saying, we will consider closing the account if you refuse.0 -
I think I'll just leave this last section in - I am closing the account with them out of principle. Many thanks!0
