tax credits if living with parents?

Hello,
We are going to stay with my partners parents for a little while as we are relocating.
We will both be working full time and our son will go into childcare. We should be entitled to a bit of tax credits towards childcare, but will his parents income be taken into consideration? We will be paying towards bills and rent at their house. will it be a 'household' income taken, or mine and my partners as we are not financially dependant?
