i need a bit of advice. am i being petty here or have i got a reason to complain.
my girlfriend rang megabowl and booked a lane for a saturday night a couple of weeks back. when she phoned to book a £17.99 family lane for an hour she was told she could book but she would have to pay over the phone using a debit card, if she did not turn up she would therefore lose her money. that was all fine and expected, she used my card, paid over the phone and that was that.
when we arrived at the bowl we told the man on desk we had booked, he said no booking had been made and that there was no record of the booking. the manager was called as we had paid but this man was not having it. luckily my gf remebered the girl who she spoke to on the phone. she told the manager and he set us up on a lane and said he would ring the girl at home as she had left.
10 mins later he was back, she remembered the booking but had not put it through the tillas she was meant to, instead she had wrote the bank card details down and not got round to putting them through. i asked the manager what had happened to my card details and he said "they have been put in the bin"
i had to pay again on the card. is this a reason to complain? father in law said that they cannot just throw them in the bin? im not sure thanx
