Hi money savers
This is my first post to money savings, hopefully i will now save some money
I am looking to by a used car, and while browsing auto trader i came across a few very nice and cheap cars but they say they are Imported
They are actually a third in price to similar uk based models
I just wanted to know if they are really legit deals or a scam ??
If they are genuine sellers, why is price so low and what can be the complications and implications of buying such a car ??
Any help would be highly appreciated.
Thanks

Scam. They attract people blinded by greed0

Imported as the seller is in Portugal and will deliver the car to you? Or a japanese import that maybe the same car as a UK model but with a different name and differenent spec?
Shogun in the UK = Pajero in Japan. Although the Pajero can be a much higher spec. But it may also lack any rust prevention.
Mazda MX5 = Eunos in Japan etc etc...
If its a Fairly new car and half the price and the seller claims to have moved to spain or similar and because its right hand drive its worthless down there. Then run away really quickly.
You pay your money never to be seen again. And no you wont get a car.Censorship Reigns Supreme in Troll City...0 -

A BMW X5 2012, for 9000
If its too good to be true, probably it isnt !!0 -
It's a scam. What they do is price cars at stupid prices and people fall for it and send them money.0

Are these the ones that have e-mail addresses in the photo's which are priced suspiciously low?0

The white £8000 one. Email me for more details..
I bet they ask for a deposit by paypal secure or yahoo finance who will only release the funds when your happy with the vehicle etc.
The moment the money leaves your hands its gone and you wont see the car EVER.Censorship Reigns Supreme in Troll City...0 -

It really sounds like it.
My car is on Autotrader at the moment and in rthe last 30 mins I've received a text message that my ad will be deleted due to violating their T&Cs. Funny how the link it takes me to isn't on the autotrader site. If I put any details in then my account will be hijacked and one of those ads with emails put in it's place.
Any ad that asks you to contact them using email embedded in a photo or that their phone number listed on the ad isn't valid is a scam. They are purely preying on greed to steal money, there is no car for sale imported or otherwise.Remember the saying: if it looks too good to be true it almost certainly is.0 -
No email on the £8000 one i spotted but there maybe more adverts with similiar wording.
It says to email them but i didnt see an email address?Censorship Reigns Supreme in Troll City...0 -
Yea, it doesnt say any email on pic but it does say email me or something !!0

Create a spam email address on yahoo or something and email them. I bet its abroad at the moment and they will deliver it. But you must transfer the money first. They will offer some secure payment method that isnt secure at all.Censorship Reigns Supreme in Troll City...0
