I want to get going with Skype, has anyone got any suggestions for a Skype phone? Do I need one?

Have you thought about grown up VoIP and leave Hype for the kids?
Buy an ATA, connect it up to your router, then connect your usual corded or cordless phones, that way make and receive calls without the need of the computer being on. You have numerous choice of VoIP providers.
You don't have to have a phone with Skype you can use headphones / speakers and mic, and this is all a Skype 'phone' is, a earpiece, a mic and an external sound card in a piece of moulded plastic, also means having the computer on all the time you want to make and receive calls. Also Skype charge for a local phone number and for voicemail.It's PAC not PAC Code, it's MAC not MAC Code, it's PIN not PIN Number, it's ATM not ATM Machine, it's LCD not LCD Display, it's DVD not DVD disc... It's no one not noone, It's a lot not alot, It's got not gotten... Panini is the plural of panino - there is no S!!(OK my English isn't great, the sciences, maths & IT are my strong points!)0
