VT, so sorry to hear that.
It does nothing to ease the family's immediate pain and sense of loss, of course, but this might be of use, in time

Very sad family at the moment.
No parent should have to bury their child.:(
Thank you all for your kind words it means alot.

Terrible Vso much for one family to go through. Sometimes the bad stuff just doesn't get shared out evenly. You're a close family and have each other to lean on

This has just reminded me of when I was young and my parents and uncle and aunt were talking about things they didn't like.
I piped up that I didn't like it when I had a bath if I found hairs stuck to the soap.I never did understand until I was much older why everyone went bit quiet and didn't agree with me. :rotfl:
In my innocence it never occurred to me that they would have come anywhere other than from someone's head.

It's a womble so I'll rip it apart!! SP Chopped Tomatoes, should have been four (or eight) vs M. Wrong Breadsticks - should be other ones vs T I believe (unless sneakilyT has put prices back up to double again). Tuc Crackers - a horrid product in A at the moment, should be buying McVities Krackawheat instead (vs T or W at 49p). Again, assuming prices haven't changed since I last looked that direction.
Tick tock - sorry for the delay folks, just waiting for other receipt's time to come up. Nothing interesting to tell you about from my wombles yet - although I may have lost out a little on Cow & Gate and Heinz/Hipp individuals, with a row of red, comparing most of them vs M at full prices (maybe not picking up an M mbuy across the range?!? Who knows - could well be right, shows T at full prices too and T has no mbuy on the number that compare).
Oh - best go, time now ready on some of my receipts!!:rotfl::)0 -
It certainly is my mum had loads of stuff that was for best and never got used.
Trouble is I am like my mum, I am hoping when I get my new kitchen eventually, hopefully next year once outside work is done. I hope that I will be able to open up all the new stuff I have stashed and throw out the old. But I am doubtful.
EDIT: just wanted to add a lady should always have best knickers.
The old stuff was made to last.I'm still using my Mums soup saucepan that she bought from a jumble sale in 1965.It is quite
a lot older than that.(New knickers are essential though)0 -

The rain ceased and I got out shopping after all.
Found in Ts Garland Crest Shiraz wine RTC £3.49. There was also a first cape Limited release Rose wine for £3.49. I didn't buy that as no one would drink it. Quite a few other wines RTC but none cheap enough to actually buy.
Also found Taylor's fair trade ground coffee RTC at £1.94
Nothing else of any interest to report. Went to As as well. Empty shelf where the £4 loo rolls had beenNo lamb chops
So just did a shop with bacon and apples
I have not tried it yet but there are some wines 3 for £12 and 3 for £15 in Sainsbobs and they have 25% off at the moment. I know the discount only comes off the multibuy price but works out £3 or £3.75 a bottle. I did try to research if any would give brand match but not sure which price it would match from.0 -
Moment of truth ... (drumroll)...
Main thing is my T shopping was fine... picked up an extra item to the eight in case the expensive Bananas were a complete no-show:eek:, and lost slightly on the 335g Broccoli in order to get a bit more back from otherwares, but all is well...

So far, so good. My shopping beating the wombles at the moment...
(:rotfl:The only banana, apart from those packs of six round smaller red and green ones, that the store had was one someone had managed to split open - I was happy though to take off a little piece and buy it as 'just in case', towards the shopping.)
Correction: I thought I picked up nine different items, now appears to have been just eight. So - thanks I did pick up that 3p banana then!:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::T That was a nice 3p that was worth over four quid!:rotfl:0
