My mum used to use a cane, my strongest memory about it was being hit so hard it broke. My dad came in from work and nearly went through her because of the state of my back and backside
I'm glad times have changed for most kids, I couldn't imagine doing anything like that to DS! I used to get upset after putting him on the naughty step and feel guilty about doing even that
