Thankyou for all your replies:T :)

I was so annoyed I went to the CS desk and they got a manger down to speak to me :p At least he apologised. I just can't understand how a cafe in a supermarket can have no bread, when there are shelves full of the stuff! Doesn't make sense in my little head :rotfl:

MSE doesn't like foreign letters, so anything with an accent on it doesn't work, so words like caf! and fianc! don't work properly :(

Thank you but I thought caf e was English must have to write cafetiere :D

I believe it should let you do cafe without the accent? And technically cafetiere should also have an accent on the last-but-one E because it's French as well, so clearly MSE just doesn't like the people across the Channel

I find it quite interesting how many of our words are of French (or at least Latin) origin, but we're getting our own back now, they're speaking more and more Franglais and they're actually trying to make laws to ban any English words from being used on tv and in schools and suchlike. I think it's a losing battle though, when I lived there, they had English words and phrases all over the shops, magazines, music etc!
