The caravans and gigs would all be on their way to Appleby Horse Fair, I guess; that's why they would be travelling in convoy.
Hi, yes I know where they're going. Have done my 104 mile round trip to work for 20 years now.
Doesn't make it any easier know why they're on the road or where they are going.......!!
However, you do learn to look for the marks that the iron wheels of the caravans leave on the road to judge how many have recently gone through, and also to look at the freshness of the horse droppings!!
At least I can tell if there could well be a travelling van around the blind corner, whereas the tourists are probably completely unaware! The mind is like a parachute. It doesn't work unless it's open0 -

Oh yes and don't I know it! Latest talks are of the town becoming "shut down" once it has reached "capacity" oh joy! :rotfl:The mind is like a parachute. It doesn't work unless it's open0 -

I text FC, as noticed she was offline as were you.
David. was online but I think he is ignoring it so he can still call me wine thief.

Bubbs, thank you for bringing over the argos fabric drawer sets for £14.99. :money:
They are not bad for the price to keep things tidy but certainly not worth the £49.99 RRP.
I picked them up on the way to see DD1 on Thursday as I had to pass Argos on my way. Not very MSE the added weight in the car though.
The white framed one we haven't opened yet but it is 6.5kg net weight as opposed to 3.9 kg for the natural one, I hadn't noticed when ordering.
Have you opened the 'natural' ones yet Tinyshoes? I got the white ones as I hadn't realised they did natural and am thinking of swapping them as natural would go better with our d!cor. However, if the natural are a lot less robust than the white then I won't bother. I'd be really grateful if you could possibly let me know what the natural ones are like once you open them.“A journey is best measured in friends, not in miles.”

Really interesting programme on channel 4 about car auctions. A mark 2 ford escort has just fetched 20k! Wish I had kept mine - better than having it in the bank.
Amazing wedding cake barleysugar. You should go into business - anything with the word wedding in front is mega bucks!
I have had a red ford escort and a black one, my black one I had for years until it was irreparable (rust). I even had another engine put in it at one point.0 -

:(:( (or maybe :money: if it was their choice and failure to scan them was their fault - not suggesting that anyone tries to distract their SAs but merely that, if they fail to scan items, ring up a bill and then agree that bill between them and you, by announcing it and accepting your payment, it seems to me they've agreed that price and it's their fault for not scanning something - I'd be blasted furious if the peppers should have given back more than they paid though!).
The only problem I can see with the SA failing to scan an item is that, were you to be stopped by security and asked to show them (or the police if they were called) what's in your bag, it would appear that you had stolen the unscanned items and you would have to prove it was the SA's negligence rather than a deliberate theft on your part.
I know that security should only stop you if they have reason to believe you have been shoplifting (or committing another offence) but I'm sure I look very suspicious the way I take three times as long as the average muggle going round supermarkets trying to manage 3 separate shops and lists while simultaneously using MSL on my phone!:o“A journey is best measured in friends, not in miles.”
