Evening all
Gosh it has been quiet on here tonight:eek:
Hope everyone is ok.
Been outlet shopping for dd birthday present and went for a rose gold instead of yellow trim on watch with pearly type face. Michael kors but from cheapest reputale place I could find. Then on to JL. Mum very impressed with her cake and coffee so have a feeling she will be using her own vouchers in future:eek:
Had a good look in IT department and have made up my mind that new lappy will be a Macbook Air. Many thing I would like to try related to graphics so this is best choice. Now I must send off for JL vouchers and buy a few more 3v cards. Bit of a faff but too many points not to faff about for.
I am getting a couple of house guests on monday. Roxy who is a lurcher (with a bit of collie) and Rodney who is a big African Parrot.
My friend is going on holiday with his ex girlfriend (I was asked first but no way I could do any of the activities he has planned so have to sit this one out.
Roxy and Rodney belong to her so I said they could stay. Roxy I have had stay before but never been reponsible for a parrot before. Apparently he stays still for hours so great painting opportunities.
Will be fun and luckily they are due back day before my planned trip to bedford so mum will not have to take over duties.
Last nights talks got me watching Food Inspectors and watched episode 1 tonight. Nice to know supermarkets should provide wet wipes for trolley handles due to bacteria.

Thanks Tinyshoes
Sorry for late reply, just catching up on the thread.
My set is around 30 years old.
My Mum "collected" for it, as I was leaving home. She used to shop at Budgens, and with every say, £10 spent, you could buy an item from this range, prices varied depending on the item you wanted to purchase.
Over the years I've added a few bits that I've found in charity shops, to augment what I had originally.
Now have soup dishes, cereal bowls, fruit bowls, side plates, dinner plates, and an inbetween size of plate!. Also a large oval serving plate, small milk jug, sugar bowl, as well as cups and saucers
Thanks for the info midwinter, we never had Budgens down here until very recently, so still none the wiser where my mum got hers from, forgot she had 3 breakfast bowls too, I am guessing as odd number one of those broke.0 -
Where is everyone looks like you are all at your country retreats.
Oh well, Goodnight Elite, I am bit shattered lovely couple of days with Teeny. Gorgeous bundle that can giggle now.0 -

However seems my silly Mum signed up for free trial of raspberry ketones through Facebook link and has now been charged £189 :eek:
She been to bank, manager called the company they will refund 110 but no more.
Not covered by bank as she ticked the terms and conditions box and she has taken the pills. Which she shouldn't have as she is diabetic
I can't believe how silly she has been, when she mentioned it a few weeks ago and I told her it was a scam to cancel her card and speak to bank. also that only way she would lose weight was to get off her butt and stop eating carp.
That there was no quick fix.
So now she has lost pounds just the wrong kind.
I do feel for her but her or her husband should know better
They use Recurring Payments (Continuous Payment Authoritities) to collar your cash.
There is good MSE advice on this.
Absolutely Insist to your bank that they MUST cancel any payments.
Many call takers do not know that it is a legal requirement for the bank to cancel.
Any payments made after 24 hours should then be refunded.
An example:
The call centres for the Raspberry Ketones product ‘Nutriberry Slim’ & Health Supplement ‘VitaCleanse’ are in Clearwater Florida.
A freephone for them exists and their product return address is happily in West Lothian Scotland.
Hassle the devil out of the call centre,be imaginative & think out of their box always insisting on speaking to a Manager if you fancy something to do to while away a wet day.
Be polite but firm with them.
They record conversations but unlike UK do not advise you of this.
After a hard day for them today they may alter this policy as it can work against them!
Many and varied are their people but their menu does seem very limited.[/QUOTE]0 -
