MSE Team Blogger Paloma noticed she'd been overcharged on Ariel tabs in T and

She then asked for DTD on both receipts. If that was my store I'd get DTD on the first lot and they'd (rightly I think) tell me where to go for the other 6 boxes

They should pay DTD on all of them. At that point if the six boxes weren't given DTD, and if they refused, I'd be down to Trading Standards and the criminal law:eek::eek:. (But I'd never get that situation and I'd be 'chicken' and not want to pay way more for the 6 and risk not getting the refund back. Isn't T's the overall charge, not limited to one per item unlike Mr A? I don't know about T though as I 'never' shop there! :think:Perhaps I ought to read the first page?!?:rotfl::rotfl:)

The other day whilst making sandwiches the top of the bread the curved bit was towards me and I automatically turned it around on the plate so it was away from me  also I always have the hole/handle on the chopping board to the left I know the reason for that though as I slide any rubbish off it to the right.
    But why the bread :o

Hmm think I have that problem too.
I really think the idea of being surrendered is one of huge trust. Looking back my mum was almost a surrendered wife to my dad in the years before her degree but the things she did for him are the things I would naturally do in a nurturing relationship. Cook, clean and yes, run him a bath and put towel on radiator ready.
Have to be able to find a man you can totally trust with money though and she had that with Dad. He paid and sorted all bills and mum had accounts in various shops (back in the day).

I am more old fashioned than people think but there is a fine line between surrendered and doormat.

I personally prefer a man who says......here's my money, you sort it out :D:rotfl::rotfl:

seriously though, I couldn't do any of that stuff. I clean, but that's obsession, I do it for myself. I can't cook, I'm happy being the bread winner and general control freak:eek::rotfl:

    I think I have a surrendered husband :o :rotfl:

"Rather than head straight to customer services, I sneaked off down the laundry aisle to buy another six boxes. Hey presto, again, I’d been overcharged by £3 on each box – a total overpayment of £18."

Thank you. It has been a hard slog for her as she was diagnosed with endometriosis last year and had problems to overcome.
She needs to get some road running in though as usually runs at gym as less stress on joints.

Hope it goes well for her, endometriosis is horrible (I was diagnosed with it a few years ago, that and PCOS :( ) x

I haven't found that balance yet of remaining myself and surrendering a part of that too if you see what I mean. I'm too independent for my own good :rotfl:

It's about 11.25. Though I'm sure that's a few seconds out:p:p. Sorry for the disruption to service folks and the lack of my usual accuracy.

And no, I'm not going to ring a hideously expensive 'speaking clock' for any info. Assuming even such a thing exists these days?

Was there not the story a few years ago of the MoD and apparently how lots of its employees rang the speaking clock?!?:eek::eek:
