Whenever I get telephone calls from double glazing/solar panels/boiler companies etc, etc, I always say we rent the property, and they are usually very eager to get off the phone, knowing that as a tenant it is pointless talking to me.
I also had a very persistent company who wanted to talk to my DH, as he had previously bought something with them, cant recall now what it was, but they kept on calling asking for him, and because I would not pass them to him they would not give up. The next time they called, I was ready.......I said, Oh yes, I want to speak to him too....do you know where he is, cos he has !!!!!!ed off and emptied the joint bank account, so if you find him, then can you let me know as my solicitor is also trying to find him.....(I did this in a really angry and distressed voice).....Never heard from them again....and chuckled to myself all afternoon.
Funny enough, rarely get any nuisance calls anymore.sorry for your sad news, I hope he comes back some day.
