Your username indicates that it's the 15th anniversary of something today.

Whether good or bad; I hope it's been a pleasant and happy anniversary.

It was indeed a very special day...

    Debt-free and Proud!
    Poopity poop. Another cancellation email.

Geez. It's like they want me to have cold hands and no shoes on my holiday ;) :rotfl:

QOC my windcheater is superdry too :) I wanted to treat myself. The lining is so warm and it has three different zips to keep the cold out. Looking forward to wearing it just as much as I am going away!

This is something I don't quite agree with.

If someone has worked hard for their cash all life and they have a big passion for cars, then why not spend £50k, £100k, £200k etc on a great car that they love/enjoy?

    Why not 'show off'?

    :o

Let me use an example of how someone could quite easily afford a £100k car.

Millions of people smoke in the UK.

Let's take someone who smokes 20 cigarettes per day. They started at the age of 18 and now they're 58; a total of 40 years. Some periods they smoked 10/day and other periods 30/day; but their average is about 20/day. (I know of people who have smoked for more years and 30+ cigs/day.

If you use this calculator: http://www.canstopsmoking.com/tools/cost-calculator

You can see that their smoking has cost them £100k+ over those 40 years.

Same can be said for alcohol, nights out etc.

Now if I choose not to smoke and 'save' £100k over those years, is there a particular reason why I shouldn't buy a car that I have always wanted?

    :D

I could have invested that money from a younger age and turn it into £200k+, buy a better car, save half etc.

    Just sayin'....

I do think that we all have a pot that we can fill up with what ever makes us happy, if this is an extensive car, smoking, an attentive man, or a new dress it is up to the individual
