    Thanks Nenen :D

Even more excited now. So far I've got my super huge wind cheater waterproof coat and not much else (unless my warm gloves and boots arrive from the recent glitch ;) ). Thermals are definitely on the list so I'll look out for good deals.

That's great to know about the price of booze. I imagine it's much the same as Sweden in that respect. Very good idea about duty free at the airport. I'll remember that :A

You've got me looking at Iceland now :)

When I left for Crete, as per usual, it was bloody chilly here so I had my superdry jacket with me, the intention being that it would remain in our apartment until it was time to leave and I didn't die of frostbite when I got back off the plane here.

It turned out to be quite chilly in the evenings in Crete so I wore my jacket a couple of times. There were Greek ladies telling me how much they liked it and asking to feel the inside of it :rotfl:

i know that people on here don't like to shop in store with an apg of over £10 :rotfl: i've got a couple in store for over £10 recently & gave them to my hubby as he's 6ft 5 & quite grumpy looking so i don't think he'd get any hassle spending it :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

    Sounds lovely lol

In B and q this afternoon one chap was reducing the trays of bedding plants down to £1.50, half price and 3/4 dead. The chap said that they only do half price now and after that they are dumped - I found a chap in a corner with trolley loads doing just that dumping trolley loads of reduced bedding plants into black bin bags
What a waste - I am sure I am not the only one who would have bought a few if they were down to 50p or 75p - and also then went onto buy potting compost, pots, baskets etc
Last year I bought quite a few of B and Q s final reduction plants and got them thriving again. They even had a basket outside with left over pots in and I rescued a few polyanthus one year, roots looked Ok Even if the tops had gone over.

So off we then went to Morrisons where they are supposed to have 3 cottage garden perennials for a fiver - both of out stores had almost nothing left. so again we left empty handed.

Then we went home to do some actual gardening. I got a few bags of white lillies bulbs reduced to 49p from Home Bargains a few weeks ago and I potted them up with some white geraniums and the lillies are pushing their way through already :T

Shock horror I noticed 2 red Lilly beetle - first time I've ever seen them in real life. So I got OH to dispatch them and their eggs underneath  - I've only got a few pots with lillies in so now it's another job to check them each day.
I had a few frittilers bulbs in a tub flower earlier so maybe this is where they came from?

Does anyone know how far they can fly. The lady 2 doors down also has a cottage garden, I've never seen any lillies but I wonder if I need to let her known. Otherwise the next nearest gardens are at least a mile away.

So much for gardening being distressing. I think it would have been more relaxing today doing a TPP or a APG shop :D
