Just going to see what I can make out of the stuff I removed from freezer to get the 8 chickens in I got whoopsied in Sada, 2 x 45p Extra Tasty, 3 x 65p Sage and Onion, 3 x 65p Garlic And Herb = £4.80.
Oh and a £2.00 gift card because SA put too many on receipt, charged me for 8 x 45p and 6 x 65p:rotfl:So 8 chickens for £2.80 :j
All filleted into breasts and boneless thighs yesterday, so I could freeze them :D.

I know this doesn't get me on the M&S Big Chicken List, so perhaps we could have a Cheap Cheap Chicken List as well :)

There's far too much chicken on this chicken thread:D

Thanks for clarifying. That's really weird that it picks up the multibuy price but doesn 't mark it red

I think M might have 1/3rd off the flash gels making them £2.48 reduced to. £1.66 each. Instore collectors might have picked one up at full price and miskeyed the lemon as £1.36 (maybe)

Instore price collectors like Savvy miss them entirely due to them not being on £1.00 offer.:rotfl:

A 'third off'? Come on, when been £1.00 sometime before, that isn't any price off at all in my view. It's a price increase. (Of course, the glitch from A, if you can get it, does make it much cheaper than the original M £1, even if now comparing against a bit higher price.) For them to go from £1.00 up to £2.48...:eek: (I think only the Lemon started off at £1, as a 'trial price', the others were always higher in Morries and I wasn't having any of them.)

I don't have much truck either with 'third off' "offers" - they seem to me to be on prices that have doubled in price compared to some earlier 'half-price' offer. I think when you see the 'previous price' crossed out, think what half the previous price would be and envisage all items as, eventually, going onto half price and being cheaper than what they are now on the 'third off' offer. I think that's a good guide - we often see what are called 'reference prices' (previous 'was' price crossed out and new 'lower' price) - instead of thinking that's a 'saving', as the presentation tries to suggest, think ah but that previous price, once it went or goes on half price, it would be a lot cheaper than it is now!! Unless of course it is on half price now - in which case maybe it's likely to have been on a previous lower-priced 'half price' than the 'half price' it is now. May have gone £2.00, to earlier half price £1.00, to £2.48, to 'half price' (now) £1.12. In other words, price increasing by 12p!:rotfl:

It worked - stopped me buying something in Morries last Wednesday that had a "save" offer (and wasn't available in A of course) - I imagined what half price might have been and then decided it's soon enough likely to go on half price so the current 'saving' (of just 60 pence:() was useless to go for. Another nice antidote (:money:) to some of these expensive 'save' offer prices I feel!

:( oh well i'm stocked up as have 4 packs in the fridge at the moment :)when do msm update? i might do a c&c order for tomorrow using evouchers to see what happens as don't mind trying to see ;)

Which store are you comparing against?

If it's M, doesn't update M prices until probably this Wednesday coming (morning) - due to bank holiday. As regards other comparisons, will update probably several times a day.

Here, it's the A side of the comp. that I feel is more at risk. Hoping msm (APG) doesn't update at 12.45pm.

I tend to think midday and 8pm for some reason.

Thank you. I think this was always the case.

Folks, just beware of this vs M:
    1 x McVitie's Baked Crinkleys Mini Cheddars - Variety ...£1.00£1.80

This is 7 pack - I think it shows 90p on msm.co.uk? Not comparing that way on APG!

    New Potaoes I]sic[/I anyone?!?

1 x ASDA New Potaoes:( with Herbs & Butter (590g)£1.50N/A

N/A across the board - I know, not the right weight that was being bought earlier, but just wanted to post to let you know.

    A mbuy vs M mbuy

    2 x Young's Salmon Crumble (300g)£2.00£1.76
Does not show any mbuy for M - so appear to be able to buy 1.
