    Morning :)

I don't recall the weather forecast saying rain - absolutely !!!!ing it down. I have two grumpy dogs - don't think they like it that i am the only one here and are continually looking at their empty food bowls :(

    Excellent advice:T
Old newspaper works just as well, instead of kitchen roll. (Though a friend uses sand, and swears by it.)
Remember to check them every so often, and take out any bruised/discoloured ones; just cut the bruised bits off, and use for whatever. (Got some great recipes for apple chutney/pickle, if anyone wants them. I make mine in the slow cooker, made loads last autumn with free windfall apples ... great with cheese as well, Em. Oh, and stewed apple for brekkie - num-num-num:))

    Morning Jelly

Glad you had an nice plus interesting birthday

I would love if you would share your t&t recipe for apple chutney. Slow cooker sounds interesting.

Its a milestone b'day for me at the end of the month Big 60 and I had decided that I want to go back to the time when we made more food stuff.

DH and me used to make lots of preserves from home grown fruit and veg plus I baked he also made some dodgy home brew

I now work f/t and we have regular baby sitting duties. I think it was you(sorry if i am misquoting )who was talking about thing do do when we are alive, and yes that's my plan.

Not big things but the kids and g-kids are all doing ok and don't need us so much and we have seen too many friends and family pass recently that a little us/me time is due

    Good morning all.

I was only lurking briefly last thread as was becoming too obsessed with what was happening here and the supermarkets

I also needed to sort out work stuff which took so much longer that it should have as I felt carp. Turns out I have shingles OMG it is so painful. Thought my new hip operation had failed, Scary as several of ops before had failed

Anyway should be much better soon but at least I know what it is

I am off to the shops today as yesterday was a NSD for me. DH could not be bothered /too tired to cook. Gchildren who were having a sleep over were up at 5.30 am. He got take away delivered, then we had an early night but I caught the night shift banter at 4 am

VT like other said that is not know the circle of life should happen, sadly too many parents experience this.

Hugs to nanny, snap, 4p & bubbs plus anyone I have missed and happy walking to tweets in your new boots

Their white backsides easily give them away.
