POPLA advice on here

I ve been having a read on some threads over the last few days and i concerned people are not being proactive enough in ensuring people who are either:

Appealing to POPLA - Got evidence packs -Have already appealed to POPLA , are being advised to challenge statements in evidence packs

People should be encouraging users to challenge any statement sent in by the operator, esp on issues on GPEOL

I don't think we can just accept that POPLA will automatically allow the appeal.

I believe it is therefore a mistake we are making to not pre challenge operators. For example VCS you know the statement they use in evidence packs, users shoulder be directed to the relevant one and advised to upload it, when they log their appeal.

We should be making efforts to obtain GPEOL statements from previous cases, making them available to users so they can highlight these previous dis allowed claims.

I have previously mentioned this on another thread.

If we are complacent we will lose sight of what we are doing.

There are enough people on here to obtain the relevant loss statements and upload them to a drop box location.
