Wish me well ....

It's my 'friend's' b/day today, taking her for a meal and a stop over in a hotel, got her some wine, posh chocs and a vanity case, and this is the she that is already on 2 strikes! (in 6 months)
Bit worried as I don't want to give the wrong signals as in this is going long term :o but she has got sort of clingy since I introduced her to some of my friends for a birthday meal . I'm sure the evening will go well though.

:rotfl:i dont know why your post made me laugh so hard! im sure it will all go well however i think you're doing a lot for a FWB, are you sure she wont get the wrong message esp if she's already getting a bit clingy?

If you don't want to give signals that things are going long-term you're going about it the wrong way! A text saying 'Happy birthday, fancy a meet up?' would be giving the right signals.... You're doing GF stuff with her, no wonder the poor girl's confused! :rotfl:

Good luck; have fun... but if I was her, I would probably view this as "beginning to get serious"... Tread carefully. ;)

Why is she on two strikes?

Is she expecting you to put out too much?

if you're not serious about her this is likely to send out the wrong message to her that you are......which is a bit cruel, especially on her birthday.

    tread very carefully!

I can imagine the scene: in bed after a night dinner, opening presents, rushing for some fun in the bedroom, she's all smiles, cuddling up, thinking about things are moving along well and how she is starting to think that DUTR is quite a catch after all, and then comes the phrase 'of course you understand that doesn't mean things are going serious between us? Happy birthday'

I didn't understand the 'two strikes in six months' either. Two strikes, as in: 'three strikes and you're out' , or has she withdrawn her services twice? :rotfl:
