Theatre ticket booking web sites

Just been trying to book some theatre tickets in London.

Found the show on the date I wanted in the seating area, but I couldn't buy the seats as there were only 3 left in the row and I only wanted 2.

It kept saying it wouldn't sell as it would have left a seat on it's own.

Does this mean they will never be sold unless a party of 3 happens along?

When you say "it" we take it you were using a web booking site ? best thing to do is call the theatre direct and you are more likely to get the seats and the odd seat will go on the "Day Returns"

I did try ringing the theatre but was shunted off to a generic booking agency.

Bought some tickets now. hey ho....
