I know this has been mentioned before on here in passing but is there any chance that we can start a name and shame board on here.
the amount of people getting ripped off, by non-payers, by fraudulent users etc etc. i bet that some people are getting caught out by the same people.
lets start some sort of thread that shows everyone who these people are.
is this possible mods?

Unfortunetly probably not, i will ask the abcons if it would be ok and get back to you. I have a feeling it could get the site into trouble because of slander reasons etc..... But will let you know.

I'm only a BG but would say a name and shame board is not at al possible nor is it desirable.
Who would sort out the malicious reports from the genuine ones, who would supply lawyers when someone sues for defammation?
Sometimes a user is a 'bad user' to one person and reasonable to another, a name and shame board would be open to abuse.

An interesting idea, but in reality I feel it would be no better than the EBay feedback system. It would be one person's word against another.
And besides, what are the chances of people reading it before using EBay? In my experience most people don't read what feedback is already there - how do you explain dodgy EBayers who have tons of bad feedback but who still do business?0 -
Although the principle is good I don't think this is workable on this site. Making accusations of fraud against people is a serious matter and we could not allow that to be published. The best bet if you are sure that someone is not acting in good faith is to report them to ebay directly. If it turns out to be the case, they will have their account suspended and auctions removed so everyone will benefit.

There used to be a name and shame board on one of the cross stitch sites for people who bought/sold cross stitch stuff on ebay and were trouble. It may still be there actually, but I have forgotten the URL. Basically you had to email the username of the person to the web owner. When she had received several complaints about a person she'd publish their username on the website. I remember at the top of the page she stated that the following people had had several complaints made against them. So, she wasn't actually accusing them directly, so maybe that's how she got around the whole slander thing. Anyway, it was a useful site. One of my buyers was on the list and so I was cautious with them (with good reason!).0

thinking about it i suppose there are a lot of problems with the idea. for example if someone was selling the same as me on ebay i could forward their name to the name and shame board and cause them problems, slander etc etc. the list goes on and on. bad idea really.0
