Thoughts? It's all bullpoo and you will win. Honestly, I don't know why they keep trying, they know they will lose.
Do you think so? What makes you think that bazster? It's my first one so understandably i'm full of worry!

    Cheers for the edit tip.

GPEOL? What does that acronym stand for?!

I've not got a good feeling! My argument would be to this though that a passenger in the car was shopping on the site. And their argument of a deliberate purchase in lieu of getting the parking charge notice is a load of nonsense. genuinely.

acronyms are explained in the NEWBIES sticky thread so I would have hoped you had read it by now (everything you need to know is in there)

you are focussing on "what happened" here, popla dont allow mitigation so none of that is relevant, popla deal with legal arguments and so not a gpeol , no contract and incorrect signage are issues they consider - so as long as those are in your appeal then why are you worrying about "what happened" or trying to justify it by mitigation ? its too late for that unless you ended up in court with an MCOL

let popla consider your legal arguments (because they wont consider what you wrote above at all) - it tells you that on the popla website !

ps:- there is no mention in your recent posts about a landowner appeal so what happened to that ?

I received no reply from the landowner! After a number of attempts trying to contact them.

As can be seen from the POPLA letter post that I've put in this thread, I think I have covered the legal requirements.

I'm a taurus, it's natural for me to worry! Look it's the first time it's happened to me, I'm not farmiliar with the process and I don't want to go to court!

You've used this in the first appeal paragraph of your submission to POPLA (posts 10 and 14 above) and you don't know what it is?

I did advise you read the NEWBIES sticky over a month ago (where all acronyms are explained).

But as you've included it already in your appeal, let POPLA get on with it.

I tend to avoid acronyms where possible! I obviously didn't call it GPEOL, I used the full term in my POPLA.

If all you wanted was a 'warm and cuddly' response, you need to find somebody else to say 'I'm so sorry you've had this nasty ticket on your windscreen, aren't Excel awful. I do wish you good luck in dealing with this'.

This is the eight input of my time in trying to help you with your problem. It really does get frustrating that the advice being given is seemingly ignored or disregarded, as it is with that advice (and that of others giving freely of their time) you will avoid having to pay this charge.

I come on here for the prime purpose of being helpful, not for the prime purpose of being friendly. Usually they go hand in hand, but sometimes frustration frustrates that!

    Anyway - here's a nice smiley face :)

I appreciate your time and help I really do! But trying to read a number of newbie documents whilst trying to do my day job is quite difficult!

Apologies for my sarcastic post, but it's probably just because I tend to be friendly in my response to help requests, regardless of whether it's a newbie or not. But this forum may be slightly different as there seems to be a lot of rules etc put in place!

    Because they always do lose.

And when you get your "appeal upheld" adjudication I suggest you send a copy to Simon Renshaw-Smith at Excel, enclosing a toothbrush. He'll understand.

Not 'rules', just guidelines. It is honestly the only way a very small group of regular advisers can ever hope to help every newbie avoid paying their PCN. And we literally get hundreds every week.

And now it's holiday season you can bet there are a couple of regulars away from the forum each week, adding further pressure on those remaining. However, there's no 'holiday' in PPC-land; PCNs are unabated whatever time of year it is!

arent we all, but we give your advice for free so dont expect platitudes or anything other than RTFM at times, this isnt facebook !, its all in the NEWBIES thread so we should not have to explain it, I would tell my grand daughter the same thing, read what you have been asked to read and digest it properly , sorry to say I totally agree with the last few replies , stop worrying and do more research , especially when several people have asked you to do so , its disrespectful to us when members dont, its netiquette, not rules - there is only ONE THREAD you needed to read , the NEWBIES thread, its all explained in that one thread

people like myself are trying to help hundreds of other members, including yourself, you are only helping yourself and nobody else , so if your boss asked you to read a memo, he would not expect to have to tell you twice, or to explain acronyms contained in a glossary. He may also expect you to help and train others to save him a job too
