    Take the £60....the door has been hacked, sawn, planed, drilled chiselled, sanded and I suspect you cannot prove that any of that hasn't created the problem. Can you prove you retreated the door properly after every bit of work was done?

    I tend to agree, this is the solution with the least hassle.
