Accounts 4 Refunds to be paid.

This has probably been posted countless times before but:
The Halifax have said they will pay me back £2200 but it HAS to go into the account that it was claimed from, i have not used this account for over 2 years and have no access to it. When the Halifax asked for the cards for the account back it had an overdraft for £1600 on it (which i am currently paying off). I had made an offer to pay back the overdraft initially at £100pm which was rejected and am now paying them back at a much lower rate(they gave me 28 days to pay off the overdraft:mad: )

I have given the Halifax details of another account i have with them and one with another company, so do they have to insist on paying the money back into the original account or am i rightly justified to insist on another account for it to be paid into?
Some of you may say that i still have the overdraft with that account so just get it paid into that, but if they had accepted my offer in the first place it would have been paid off long ago and now its just a matter of principal!!!

Thats the way i think, but they won't change from what they have already stated. Although i still think that they should put it all back to where i want!
