Yes, Def do not go in August - madness! Def a good idea to go for a fortnight as unless you are especially able to cope with the heat, you will not want to be doing much rushing! Wonderful country and wonderful people.

Hi i was in Egypt last summer, we stayed in Luxor as we could do the valley of kings / queens, luxor temple, the museum, light show etc.

We then did a day trip over to Cairo and it cost me £300 for me my fiance and his 9yr old. We went to a place called Jollys, its near the Wintergardens hotel and i really would reccomend them.

My parents are planning to go there and i want them to use Jolly's.

Go to a couple and you can haggle the price as we did.
