Interesting Quentin. But surely the fact that she settled out of court without liability, could still be put to them in with regards to..... have you settled with another party of that accident with regards to a contribution.0

The problem is that your solicitors costs would also be split 50/50 between the two insurers and so whilst you could waive your right to recover from your partner your solicitors are unlikely to be so gracious and so if it were to end 50/50 and you dont want to impact your partner you'd have to pay the 50% of your solcitors fees0 -
