Kudos to Capital One

I've been clearing up my finances and getting out of debt for the last 6 months. The only negative on my credit report was a late payment mark from CapitalOne back in December 2012.
I sent a letter a few weeks ago trying my luck and politely asking them to remove the late payment marker as a goodwill gesture, and received a letter back today stating they'd contacted all 3 credit reference agencies and have removed the late payment marker.
Kudos to Capital One, considering it was completely my own fault.

Excellent. That was really nice of them to do that, and I hope you are cracking the debt mountain and feeling better for it?
May I ask how long ago it was when you contacted Capital One?
I'm only asking because I've written (about four weeks ago) to them also about getting some Arrangement to Pay markers removed that should have been reported as a default after six months.
Thanks. It's not your credit score that counts, it's your credit history. Any replies are my own personal opinion and not a representation of my employer.0 -

Thanks.
I sent the letter on the 28th April, and received a response today. The address I used was:
Capital One Card Services
P.O. Box 5283
Nottingham
NG2 9HD
Hope that helps.

Thank you greenorange.
I directed my mail to the Complaints address listed on their website so I'll print the letter off and send it to them instead. It's not your credit score that counts, it's your credit history. Any replies are my own personal opinion and not a representation of my employer.0
