CP Plus Parking Fine! Pay, Ignore or challenge?

Hello Everybody
I am wondering if any of you would be able to help me out? I have received a parking fine from CP-Plus with regards to me parking in a hospital car park but not in a designated space. I can pay the fine early for only £20 but don't know if I should? I must admit I was parking in a yellow hatched area and shouldn't have been but I was not blocking any access or movement within the car park.
Any advice on what to do with this fine would be appreciated.
Please note, this is in Scotland as different law applies.
Thanks for all the help.

Scotland - ignore. The PPC can only pursue the driver (not the Registered Keeper as in England/Wales) so no need to be contacting them at all.
You need to brace yourself for a series of debt collector threatograms and you may be contacted by Gordon & Noble (Sheriff Officers - but acting as [powerless] debt collectors), all of which you will need to 'ride out' until the hassle eventually fizzles out.
You may decide it isn't worth the possible aggro for £20; there again, they might think it not worth chasing you for £20 after the first couple of ignored letters. Up to you. Please note, we are not a legal advice forum. I personally don't get involved in critiquing court case Defences/Witness Statements, so unable to help on that front. Please don't ask. .
I provide only my personal opinion, it is not a legal opinion, it is simply a personal one. I am not a lawyer.

Is this your vehicle? Because if its leased/hired/company you may want to appeal this regardless of it being Scotland, this takes it away from the former and onto yourself, which you can then ignore them. When posting a parking issue on MSE do not reveal any information that may enable PPCs to identify you. They DO monitor the forum.
We don't need the following to help you.
Name, Address, PCN Number, Exact Date Of Incident, Date On Invoice, Reg Number, Vehicle Picture, The Time You Entered & Left Car Park, Or The Amount of Time You Overstayed.

Well you are safe to ignore their letters, you will get 5-7 of them in the next 4 or 5 months then they will give up. Be prepared for the flurry of debt collector letters, some will probably say they all kinds of powers to force payment. Also if they find a number for you will get calls, don't discuss anything just hang up.When posting a parking issue on MSE do not reveal any information that may enable PPCs to identify you.
