Hi when trying to connect the S3 (android version 4.3 ) to my cars ( Citroen C4) inbuilt bluetooth system, as soon as it connects i get the message "Unfortunately bluetooth share has stopped"

prior to the 4.3 update on the S3 worked fine.

On an a new S4 out of the box (android version 4.4) same thing.

From what i have read its an problem with the software

i have tried what others have suggested here:

But have not helped in my case. Samsung had replaced my S3 to an S4 because of this , they seem totally unaware that the problem is caused by their updates and don't accept there is a problem.

any help much appreciated

I have not read your supplied links but is it the Bluetooth on the car that needs updating?

I think that often when device software is upgraded you may need to do the car to make them communicate.

See this all the time unfortunately - as above, it is likely the car software is at fault but the manufacturer will only guarantee compatibility with certain phones or software versions available at the time they made the car. Some will release updates over the life of the car, but I don't think you can force them to.
Have you checked with your dealer?

Also agree with the above. My S3 worked with the car but the S4 could see the car but wouldn't connect.

In a rare flash of the obvious I tried searching for phones from the car and it found the S4 and paired up. It has worked ever since.

I am not sure its the car, as every other phone i have tried, nexus 5, moto g, htc one, htc one m8, all running 4.3 or 4.4, all work fine , just happens on Samsung phones i have tried

having spoke to Samsung , they seem to think its a bug in the update, but dont now when it will be fixed.

spoke to car manufacturer, they say there is no update , but will have a look when i take the car in

    thanks for all the input
