Help: PCN: Debt Recovery Plus & Zenith Collections

Hi all
Newbie to this forum, so hello
Right a friend of mine recently got a PCN at a private shopping centre car park. She originally ignored it, then got a final reminder, ignored it, then got a series of reminders from Debt Recovery Plus, ignored it, then it changed to Zenith Collections, and the last reminder she got was on the 29/04/2014. This date of the original penalty notice was 7/12/13. She has started to worry now, as she thinks it might get to court. I believe she thought was meant to ignore them, and worried a bit more when I told her she should have challenged it at the beginning as rules have somewhat changed, I remember a few years ago you could just ignore them and that would be it.
Anyhow I can upload the letters if anyone wants to see (though I do know the companies check these forums out), but I'm not sure what direction to take, should she pay or can she still challenge it? If so any help would really be appreciated! I normally challenge PCNs myself so I do like a bit of fun
Thanks!

please read the NEWBIES sticky thread at the top of the forum, there is a complete section on debt collectors in there
the decision to pay or not is for the person who "owes" the "debt" to decide, nobody else0 -
Debt Recovery Plus and Zenith Collections are exactly the same company, so there is no need to worry about these powerless debt collectors!
You don't say if this happened in England or Wales, what company this is, or if you friend is the registered keeper, it would be helpful if we knew this. Though the ignore the debt collectors is not going to change.

It's the wild kingdom with this, they make up rules and laws to suit themselves, we give the unbiased advice on here though. There is virtually no chance this is going to court so your friend is safe to ignore. If they get a notice before claim then come back, if it comes it will be gladstones writing. Tell them not to panic as it's part of the scamWhen posting a parking issue on MSE do not reveal any information that may enable PPCs to identify you. They DO monitor the forum.
