Scottish Power website my meter readings !

I was asked by email last week to submit my two meter readings online - this I did on the 15th and all was OK on the confirm the readings page. On 20th May another request comes by email for the readings after just one week! I looked at my online account and the last reading I took is there for Electricity but the one for Gas is dated Feb 2014. So did it all again and the new numbers were shown on the confirm the readings page so OKed that. Went back online and the Gas reading has not been updated just like last week !!
Help please - any ideas - or do I sit and wait for a reply to my email to SP ?

Perhaps they feel the gas reading you are providing is incorrect.

I've had similar problems in the last couple of months, supplying meter readings online 3 times, but no bill materialising. They finally seem to have sorted it today. It took 4 attempts by call centre staff, 3 of whom had to pass it on to some mysterious back-office team who achieved sweet f-a. Nice lady finally achieved it today with help from her supervisor. A new computer system apparently has been having glitches all over the place, and had registered an error on my account which needed sorting out.

The phone meter readings service rejected it too, so I had to speak to a real person. No reason given for the problem but it has been fixed and is updated online.0
