    Morning all,

Hilstep. Many ((((hugs)))). I have no words of wisdom, no words could possibly ease the pain of what your going through but sending you much love (and that's hard for me because I don't give my love easily). We are here if you need support. Please 'use' us if you need us. I find writing things down therapeutic. I can say things in an email/pm that I cant say out loud. You might find your the same.

All is well with me, hubby at work, 'Youngest' sitting his exams at college. He's not confident. He seems to be suffering from an amount of 'brain freeze'. We had a deep and meaningful yesterday and ive told him that if he has to do another 12 months at college its no big deal. We'll support him. Dunno how I'm going to work on hubby though. Every exam he took he passed with distinctions and he doesn't seem to understand that our children aren't him. They have a bit of me in them. I'm not the brightest at the best of times and my genes have actually something to do with their brains. Its not helped that his girlfriend has 'dumped' him. His ego has took a bashing. Seems like she wanted to play the field whilst he wanted a one to one relationship. He's only just been able to confide in me (though ive known something was going on for weeks).

Secretly though I was hoping this year would be the year that our son would be finally self sufficient. I want to get him through college and then I can concentrate on me and what I want. Ive said much the same to our daughter with regards to having our Grandson when she is at work. I will have him and love and care for him with all my being but one day I will have to concentrate on me and my wants and needs (when ive worked out what they are).

    Anyway, I'm rattling.

    Onwards and forwards,
    Have a great day all.

    Good morning everybody,

Molly-glad to hear some of your worries have eased a bit x

TTFTM- hope you get everything done you need to & your daughters meds help her.You think your worries about your kids when they're small will get better once they've grown up,not so-different problems maybe but still a worry.

Hilstep-lots of hugs for you,I'm so sorry to hear it wasnt good news with your consultant x

Very wet here today.Need to carry on tidying,DNiece and DGN are coming at some point, and DGS is coming after lunch. The people buying our house want to come and have another look round on Saturday so I have to try and make it look presentable, not easy when we've been packing stuff up and got rid of some furniture too.We got the contract in the post yesterday & need to find someone who isnt a relative to witness our signatures.

Ok better get off the chair and get cracking xx

    Morning all,

(((((Hilly))))) your in my thoughts and prayers xx
Judy, very similar with our son, he repeated his first year at 6th form as I just don't think he took it seriously enough. This year he's been much better and seems to realise its important for his future. It's a hard balance though, we want him to do well, but not put too much pressure on that he's stressed. He seems to be ok at the moment. I suspect something similar is going on with his girlfriend but he hasn't confided in me yet. It's nice that your son can talk to you about it. Isn't it hard being a mum sometimes:s
It's very wet here. I'm out with dh this morning, I've quite a lot to do on the iPad so thought I would keep him company. I'm thinking of doing my Masters. It's a big undertaking, but it want to get back to work eventually, probably part time and would love to work in therapy of some kind. I just can't face the thought of returning to education. Anyway lots of research to do before I decide on anything. I would like to get my brain going again, even if my legs don't work.
Aqua Zumba tomorrow morning. I loved the aqua fit so hopefully this will be good. The healthy eating seems to be becoming very much the norm now so fingers crossed for another loss on Tuesday.
    Have a great day x

Hilstep XXX thinking of you keep positive honey

Just done lots of odd jobs to catch up on things.Popped into the opticians and got the lady to tighten up the legs of my glasses (no more having them perched on the end of my nose :):))then went into the health centre and left my renewal for my prescription. Then in to the electrical shop to buy a couple of spotlight bulbs for my lights in the kitchen and lastly went on the way home to cast my vote.So have done a round trip in under an hour and caught up with things.Just going to put the soup pan on and make some soup and while thats doing I will do the ironing .So quite a productive day ahead.DGS Bens last day at school as he starts his study leave and then only has to go back to do his exams in June.Apparently him and his pals are having a pub lunch to celebrate .I can't believe where the past 7 years have got to.It seems only five minutes ago he was starting in year 7 as a tiny sprog, with a huge blazer and spotless shoes and a smasrt row of pens in his top pocket :):) and tidy ties. Now he is a 6 ft tall, slim handsome young chap who had to turn his room upside down to find a school tie and shirt to wear for his last day.No blazers anymore thank goodness :):):)and he had to shave this morning as his Head has said all the boys had to be clean shaven and smart for their last day at school.so all of his straggly whiskers went :):)
Fingers crossed with the right exam results he will be off to Uni in Norwich in the autumn.Time certainly flies. He is going to see the Arctic Monkeys tomorrow night with his pals to celebrate again,so more beer will be drunk no doubt :):):)and why not I like to see hard working young guys enjoy themselves. He has been a real credit to his parents and worked very hard to get where he is now.
Right time to get a shift on and get some more work sorted out before the gardener turns up
    Cheers chums

Little dog continues to be amazing she is managing so well and seems almost happier to me, I now wonder if that lump was giving her pain.
Or maybe if not actually painful. maybe it was making her feel generally "meh", you know, the way you do if something's not quite right? Anyways, I'm so pleased that she's coming on so well; excellent news.:T
If your dog thinks you're the best, don't seek a second opinion.;)
