There are a number of changes that "get stuck" in the system and the helpline staff have no way of knowing how long it will take to process.

It affects a number of claims but there is no way of hurrying it up, unfortunately.

Funnily enough, a guy last week replied to one of my posts saying I was lying when I said things like this happen.

Beware of staff telling you "it will be sorted in two weeks" - it happens a lot that they tell you what you want to hear, rather than the truth.

I had the same problem. I changed my bank in November, they kept paying into my old bank, then I received a cheque payment in March, the last thing I wanted was cheque payments!!

It was finally paid into the correct bank account in April.

It is just ridiculous! I ended up getting our local MP involved as it was soooo stressful and such a hassle, with the constant phonecalls. She found out more info than the 'helpline'. It was just a glitch in the system - tell that to my bank when the money ain't in the right place to pay the bills!
