Annual Boiler Service

Hello..
My BAXI boiler is about to celebrate its 1st birthday. If I understand it correctly, to maintain the 10 year guarantee that it came with I need to ensure that it completes an Annual Service.
What sort of money should I be quoted from a qualified person to complete such a service? I've no idea to be honest
Thanks in advance

Where are you located as that can affect the cost of it0

You are looking at near one hundred pound I would say. That's the rough price we were quoted last year. In the end we took out home cover 4000 and got a free yearly service.0

I pay £8.50 per month for my boiler cover with BG. It Includes an annual service and for any breakdowns it might have I have opted for the £99 excess. I think it's around £12.50 if you reduce the repair excess to £49
So far so good0 -
An annual service is normally around £65. An annual contract is a rip-off (esp while under warranty), find a reliable local business.0

My fitter charges £40 on boilers he has fitted, otherwise £60.0

I pay about £65 for service in London. Had it done as couple of years. Don'tfor get to get certificate for service.0

I pay £60 each year to the installer (Greater Manchester). What's the point in paying for boiler cover, when you boiler is already covered by the warranty? Even then, as you approach the end of the warranty, talk to your installer about the boiler - what problems do they know of, how reliable have they been?0

£100 inside the M25, £60 elsewhere.
A receipt from any GasSafe plumber will validate your warranty.
There's not a lot to do, usually a wipe with a damp cloth is all you get:D.
Bigger companies that can afford the kit will 'sniff' out any problems with a gas analyser but the little guys will just look for soot etc.0 -

I'm in Staffordshire
Thanks all. I will start shopping around. I just wanted to get a rough appreciation of what I should be expecting, so by the sounds of it £100 is extracting the urine, whilst something about half of that is where I should hope/expect to be paying

I'd hope everyone would be using a flue gas analyser on a 1 year old boiler! About £60 outside London sounds average though.0
