what to do if you disagree with a social workers assessment?

Can you challenge it and get a independent review/assessment if you feel unfairly treated?

It might be a case of the social worker not understanding or misunderstanding the individual they are social working, can i get them replaced with a new social worker?

Its difficult to say categorically without knowing more what the issue is about.

But yes you can request a different Social Worker and there is always the option of an official complaint.

I've never agreed with social worker assessments and there is little you can do to get them amended. It seems social services are a law unto themselves. We only managed to deal with our issues with social services when we were put with a different team, the change was amazing.
