PPI - loans.co.uk

Hi, I have been trying to claim PPI back from Loans.co.uk for over 2 years, in March this year the FOS upheld my claim. I received a letter from Loans.co.uk asking me to sign a form of authority so that they could make a start on working out my payment.
I have now been told by them that they have a problem with how calculations are processed - this is part of the message I received from them -
My question is, has anyone else had this reply from them?

"We have now obtained all the necessary information from both lender and insurer and the next stage is to calculate the amount payable. Unfortunately, there is an issue with the way the calculations are processed and we are currently making the necessary adjustments to ensure the figures are calculated accurately. Please be assured you will continue to be accruing the statutory 8% interest compensation up to the date we are able to calculate the refund. Please accept our apologies for the delay and we will be in touch as soon as possible."

This is fine, give them chance to calculate.

    - it has taken just over 2 years to get this far but today I have been told how much I will receive from my PPI claim - that was taken out in 2007, which I didn't realise I had, I was even made redundant during the period it was running.

Any way I have been told that I will receive just over £10,457.00 - how lovely is that!!!

Just hope it doesn't take as long to get the money as it did to get this far :)

Hi I wonder f anyone can help. The ombudsman was trying to reclaim a ppi for me. I have just received a letter from them saying that I don't have a case. It is a very long winded letter but they have been dealing with it for two years.
Can anyone please tell me if I can try again with someone else to try to reclaim this money
    Thanks in advance

Was this a loan or CC, what were the reasons for you not having a case?.
The Ombudsman is your last port of call I am afraid.

That is not what the FOS do. They are an independent arbiter of complaints. They look at your complaint. Look at the company response and try to decide whether the response was correct or not.

No. not unless you want to try the courts. However, if the firm have told you that you dont have a case and the independent ombudsman tells you that you dont have a case, then it is unlikely a court would think you have case (especially when there is a greater requirement for you to prove wrongdoing in law in court).

have you considered that you dont have a case?
