Garden works

Hi,
I'm really keen to get some advice on here - I've been reading threads for ages but have just registered to post.
I'm need some work done in my garden and have just had a quote which seems really high but I really have no clue and am struggling to get quotes.
Basically I'm looking at having my patio/ front and back paths re-paved, its a really big area and includes some small steps too. There are areas which are currently concrete and apparently they can lay the slabs on to other areas which are uneven and would need levelling. There is also a large (8'x12') raised area which I want removed and made the same as the rest of the patio. It's about 2' high. I also have a wall running along the width of the house about 3' high that needs repairing/ replacing as this steps up onto the grass.
Also there is some rendering needing repaired to the bottom front of my house up to about 3' high (my neighbours have had something similar done as parts of the pebble dash has been knocked off).
I also need a new fence in my back garden, its about 30' long.
So far I've been quoted £8000 not including the slabs for all the work and removal of rubbish, skip hire and digger. The access isn't great and would add some time as the skip would have to be a short distance from the house and my back fence removed and replaced again.
The people who have quoted me that have done other works for me including an exention and have always seemed fair but I have nothing to compare this too. It is a huge job, i'm just really not sure what I should be paying.
TIA
