Cleaning a block paving driveway?

Our driveway been down 2 years. Now got a lot of weeds in it and is dirty. Wants to clean it, prob with a pressure washer (which I want to buy). However, have read different things online and not sure if I should use a pressure washer.

We intended to replace the kiln sand between the bricks but not to compact it again. I know the sand will get washed away. Is this ok? Some things online said it will need compacting again.

Should we get a pressure washer with a patio attachment for cleaning the drive? Is this better or a lance?

Thanks
